Tectónica Design at ICFF New York: A Mineral Takeover
Bringing the essence of Spanish stone to the heart of North American design.
This year, Tectónica Design crosses the Atlantic to participate in the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York City. As North America’s leading platform for contemporary design, ICFF provides the perfect backdrop for us to showcase our vision of stone as a contemporary cultural language.
We are arriving in Manhattan with a clear objective: to demonstrate how traditional craftsmanship from Macael can be transformed into avant-garde, collectible design through collaboration and innovation.
The Spotlight: Domestic Monuments
Leading our presentation is the Domestic Monuments collection, designed by Puntofilipino. This series has captured international attention for its "structural intelligence"—a method where we reduce the physical mass of the stone to create objects that feel light, architectural, and emotionally resonant.
The DM-M01 Side Table will be the centerpiece of our exhibit, standing as a functional sculpture that challenges the conventional weight of marble. It is an invitation for the American market to experience "silent luxury" through a material that carries thousands of years of history.
A Dialogue of Forms: FRAKTUR
Complementing the monumental presence of our first series, we are also presenting the FRAKTUR collection by Leandra Eibl. This collaboration explores the psychological and aesthetic power of the "break," juxtaposing raw, fractured edges with high-precision finishes.
Domestic Monuments
A mineral manifesto where stone shifts from architecture to the home. Design by Puntofilipino.
FRAKTUR
Exploring resilience and the beauty of the fracture. Design by Leandra Eibl.
